An emergency exit or escape route is a specially marked route which leads to the nearest exit in the event of an emergency. In the situation of a fire or other life-threatening dangers, people must be able to leave the building as quickly as possible. Therefore, an emergency exit must not be blocked or obstructed. At the same time, firefighters use escape routes to perform extinguishing and rescue operations to save lives.

GFS PRODUCT IDEA

  • Operators wish to be able to control the usage of the emergency exits

  • Building Controllers / Fire departments demand that the emergency exits are accessible at all operating times

  • Insurances need to know the establishment is secured from the outside

  • Emergency Exits need to be kept unlocked during operation time

  • Often they are misused by employees or thieves

  • In case of emergency a deterrent should not prevent or delay the use of exits
